Don't Lose Your Salt

"Salt is good but if it loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again?"
Luke 14:34

Salt left in contact with damp soil loses its flavor and is good for nothing but to be graveled underfoot. So it is with Christians who lose their ability to "flavor" the world with goodness and righteousness. Nothing is so useless and worthless as an inconsistent and powerless Christian. I posted a video on my facebook page with some comments that I know folks were saying "she's going off again.”

I started thinking about Ezekiel. Oh how Ezekiel warned Gods' people but they did not listen. All throughout the book of Ezekiel the Lord of Host warn the people. But they would not listen. Read Ezekiel 14 -16 just three chapters or start from the beginning. In chapter 15 the Lord talks about the Parable of the Useless Vine/useless burnt wood. Can it be used for anything? (Useless Christian)The end of Chapter 15 talks about how the Lord will turn his face against his people. Ezekiel's message is similar to Isaiah's "Song of the Vineyard" Isa.5:1-30, a message of judgment against Israel. The grapevine has no value as wood for lumber. Ezek. 15:2, its only use is its fruit. If a vine bears no fruit, its only other function is as firewood. The nation was Judah swept away by King Nebuchadnezzar.
Who will sweep away our land because the salt has lost its flavor?
